Private by design

Your audio never leaves your device.

Most "online" audio tools upload your files to a server to process them. SoundForge doesn't. Every one of our 50+ tools runs entirely inside your browser — so your music, voice memos and masters stay yours.

🔒 Nothing is uploaded

When you drop a file, the browser decodes it into memory on your machine. All effects, analysis and exports happen locally with the Web Audio API. No bytes of your audio are ever transmitted to us or anyone else.

🚫 No account, no tracking of files

No sign-up, no email, no profile. We never see your files, so there's nothing for us to store, scan, sell or leak. Close the tab and it's gone.

🧠 Even the AI runs on your device

Our speech-to-text and neural separation models download to your browser once, then run on-device. Your voice and music are processed locally — the model comes to your audio, not the other way around.

⚡ Faster, and free because of it

No upload means no waiting and no queue. It also means we have almost no per-user server cost — which is exactly why we can keep every tool free, with no limits or watermarks, forever.

📡 What we do collect

Only basic, privacy-respecting analytics (page views) to understand which tools people find useful — never the contents of your audio. The site is served over HTTPS with strict security headers.

✅ Verify it yourself

Open your browser's Network tab, run any tool, and watch: you'll see the page and (once) any AI model load — but never your audio file going out. Don't take our word for it.

Privacy FAQ.

Does SoundForge upload my audio files?
No. Every tool decodes and processes your audio on your own device using the browser's Web Audio API. Your files are never sent to any server, so there is no upload step, no queue and no copy of your audio anywhere but your own computer.
Do I need an account or login?
No. There are no accounts, no sign-ups and no email required. Open a tool and start working immediately.
How can the AI tools be private if they use models?
The AI models (such as speech-to-text and neural voice separation) are downloaded to your browser once and then run entirely on your device. Your audio is fed to the model locally and never leaves your machine.
Is SoundForge really free?
Yes — every tool is free with no subscriptions, file limits or watermarks. Because the work runs on your device instead of our servers, we have almost no per-user cost, which is how we keep it free.
